Childcare and childMinding
Childcare places will be available to every family, not just families in the immediate area. (please ask for details)
We will be working with local childminders and the National Childminding Association (NCMA), who may provide full day care or wraparound care.
If you are looking to use this service or you provide and of these services then information is on hand to assist you to make the process easier.
Early Education
Full day care and early education for children under 5 years old will be available 5 days per week.
Parents and carers of children from Birth to five year olds now have support with early education activities for babies, toddlers and children until they reach school age.
Employment and training
If you are seeking employment or looking to return to work after a break to have children, you can use this centre to link to the Job Centre Plus website to search the current vacancies available.
You can also find out information about benefits, working family tax credits and childcare allowances.
If you would like to retrain, update or improve your current skills we can help you source the appropriate training courses.
Health
Health including maternity services, breast feeding advice and links to health visitors.
We will be able to help your family and yourselves towards living a healthy lifestyle, whether that means taking more exercise, giving up smoking, taking care of personal hygiene or just making sure you and your family get the health checks you need.
Practical help and advice will be available at our regular drop in sessions, details of these will be available at the centre or here on our website.
Special Needs
Special Needs services for children with special needs and disabilities, we can offer support and information to families with special needs.
We have a sensory room at our Furtherwick Park Children’s centre, we also run after school and summer clubs for children with special needs and learning difficulties.
Drop in
Drop in, we want to see you and help you with any issues or advice you may need. When you become a parent, whether it be for the first time or not, the journey you embark on is filled with new experiences, some you will be able to handle on your own, others you may need help and advice about, so please drop in to one of the many sessions we will be having, we would love to see you and your family.
