The nursery was established in May 1960 by Amelia Blackwell, which was the original name for the nursery.
Debbie Battams took over the nursery from Amelia in May 2000 and has retained many of the original staff, something Debbie says is very important as a static work team provides a stable environment for any child.
The new building was opened in November 2006. The nursery has beautiful landscaped views across to Hadleigh Castle and of the Tewkes creek, which is frequented by many sea birds.
The building is fully accessible and has a secure pram store. There is an outside play area. Children enjoy being outside, our outside area has a number of toys and equipment to enable children to enjoy this experience.
