My 4 month old baby boy is still waking several times through the night and I am so tired that I feel I am living in another world, lol. I had it very lucky with my other children in that they both slept through from a very early age. I do appreciate that babies do do this, but to be able to cut down the number of times he wakes would be fantastic. He is a breast fed baby and know they do tend to be more demnding in their feeds, he is now on solids also and has been for the last 2 weeks but this hasn't helped. Have also tried formula prior to bed time, but he completely refuses the bottle as he does with the dummy also. Have tried swaddling and not swaddling to no avail. Friends have told me about controlled crying but I have 2 other children and would hate for them to be disturbed. ANY IDEAS

It is difficult to make suggestions to you becuase we would need more inforamtion about baby's feeding and sleep pattern. I would suggest you contact your health visitor or come along to the baby weighing clinic at Little Lions Children's Centre every Monday from 9.15 - 11.30.

This clinic is run by the health visitors so they would be able to discuss this with you in more detail.

You can bring your other children along with you and they can play in the nursery while you talk with the Health Visitor.

    Hope this helps
