You may have taken time off work to look after your children or want to consider returning to work either to pick up where you left off or to update your skills.

Things may have changed in the workplace and your current skills may be out of date, it may also have been a while since you were in education and you may be feeling that the whole experience is too much.

If you’re thinking of returning to work or to return to learning don’t worry because there is help available.

There are a variety of courses that can help you on your return to work or learning and career advisers that can help you decide on your next step.

On this page we have linked with local and national organisations that can support you in your choices and help you move forward.

There are a number of training opportunities taking place at your local Children’s Centre, that can help you brush up on your existing skills, help you with filling in applications and how to present yourself or assist you in putting together a CV.

We have also bought together links to benefit advice, local training providers, recruitment agencies and local and national job sites to help you in your search for training or employment.

Remember you are not alone, there are thousands of people who find themselves in similar situations, help is available whatever your personal situation.
