About the Children's Centres
Castle Point Association of Voluntary Services – Support the voluntary sector and community of castle point.
CAVS is a CVS (Council for Voluntary Services). CVS operate throughout the UK and although varied in the work they do, there are 5 core functions as set out by the National Association of CVS’s they are as follows:
- Service and support for local voluntary and community organisations.
- Liaison
- Representation
- Development work
- Strategic partnerships
What Services do CAVS Provide?
Based on the core functions CAVS provide support and backup to local voluntary groups through:
- Access to website of Grant making trusts.
- Photocopying
- Laminating
- Typing/posters/leaflets
- Information and database
- Equipment/book loan.
- Training
- Distributing information
- Future needs forums.
- Development of new projects
- Networking
- Volunteer recruitment.
