The Sensory Room
Canvey Community Children's Centre
The Sensory room at the Children's Centre is a specially designed environment that gently stimulates all the senses.
It allow the child to relax in a safe environment while it can also be used for therapy and learning.
The Sensory room has been put together by professionals to provide the best possible environment.
There is a variety of equipment within the room including a Hand wall, which allows the child to press any coloured hand to be rewarded with a musical sound, a Bubble tube with 8 colours, a Vibro-acoustic body pillow so they can feel the music and sensory boxes to use within the room.
