Gallery of Spud in a Bucket at
Canvey Community Children's Centre

Children at Canvey Community Children's Centre Pre-School took part in the “Spud in a Bucket” potato growing project. The children planted a seed potato for growing. They were given instructions on how to look after them and keep them watered along with another small bag of compost. The Children will bring their grown potato plants back into the Children’s Centre in June for harvesting. The biggest crop will receive a prize and all the children will receive young growers certificate.

Keep a look out for more children and young people taking part in the “spud in a bucket” potato growing project.

Parents please keep us informed of how your childrens plants are progressing and email us pictures of the plants for use on our gallery. Please include who the plant belongs to and their age, along with any details of what your child has been doing to achieve the growth. Send these to: canveycommunity@yourcc.org.uk. These pictures will be published on this website.
